Grande Prairie College Installs Sanako Lab 100

Grand Prairie is a town 460KM north west of Edmonton Alberta. The college was started in 1966, and now offers a wide variety of exciting career programs, university studies, options for degree completion and an Applied Degree in Forest Resource Management.

Academic Upgrading is available as a program or as part of a blended program. The highly qualified faculty, low tuition, small classes, personal contact and extensive awards program attracts students from a wide area.

In 1969 Douglas Cardinal was hired as the architect and the new college was completed in 1974.

The college was one of his first major commissions and it is an architecturally stunning Educational Institution.

The theatre was opened in 1976.

Douglas Cardinal is a renowned architect. Among his major works is the Smithsonian institute's, National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, the First Nations University of Canada, in Regina. www.firstnationsuniversity.ca

The College chose the Sanako Tandberg Lab 100 to replace its two aging analogue laboratories.

The labs are 25 and 30 position labs and eventually will both be 30 positions. The Lab 100 is the latest version 4.0.

The college used the existing furniture of the old lab, but two new master consoles where installed.
