Grant MacEwan College Installs Sanako Lab 100
Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton Alberta was established in 1971
The College is named after Dr. J.W. Grant MacEwan, former lieutenant governor of Alberta.
In June of this year the College started to investigate the possibility of upgrading their existing language laboratory. They decided to purchase two Tandberg Sanako 24 position Lab100 digital Audio Labs. It was decided that the best solution for the College would be the Lab 100 portable system.
Like many colleges, the problem is space, and it is difficult to dedicate one room to be used solely for a lab installation. With the portable system it is possible to commit one room for one semester and then very easily move the lab somewhere else in the next semester. The photos to the left show the lab set up in one room and also shows the lab in its cart.
